Welcome to the official website of the Yarrambat-Plenty Little Athletics Club. Yarrambat-Plenty is the newest club at the Diamond Valley centre having been established in 2007.

Reason for new club - we formulated because of the rapid growth in this corridor of the Plenty Valley. Many young families moving from surrounding suburbs, like Greensborough, Eltham, Yallambie, Watsonia to build a new life in this area of north.  Many of the new parents moving to Yarrambat, Plenty, Doreen, had competed in Little Aths as children and now having children of our own it was important to establish a network that promoted sports in the area - previously the kids had been under-represented in little aths in comparison to other kids in the surrounding areas.

Yarrambat has a very strong sporting history - The region at present has a very strong junior football club and same with junior and senior cricket club.  Basketball too is popular with the kids in this area, but there was no other club sector that catered for all round sports like athletics.  With the support of the Diamond Valley Centre, the committee was formed on 21/06/2007 at a meeting held at Yarrambat Primary school and a month later the motion was passed at the Delegates meeting 21 July 2007 to accept the club under the Centre's umbrella.

The rest is history in the making - we are today a very dedicated club that is keen to broadcast our founding and welcome new members.  We have the potential to grow quite rapidly over the next five years, as the new babies born today become children.  To date we have a list of 30 members whom come from the surrounding areas - children from Yarrambat and Hurstbridge Primary, Ivanhoe Grammar School, Ironbark Christian College, King Lake Primary and St Andrews Primary School.
